Dani & Michael {BRIDALS}

I'm having so much fun with all the bridals I've been doing lately. They are by far my FAVORITE type of session! As soon as I see each beautiful dress, I think "if I could go back, THIS would be my dress!" There was a time when I said I would never shoot weddings, but I have grown to LOVE them!!

I was especially excited when beautiful Dani's mom called me. Dani was one of my sweet Young Women when I was Girl's Camp Director, and she has become an amazing woman. I am so happy for her, and I hope Michael knows what a lucky guy he is!! (Actually, I think they are both lucky. They are both just awesome!) We found this fantastic location just a few blocks away from us. I've passed it a million times and have always wanted to shoot there. It was perfect :)

Ben and Cassie {A Military Family}

I have a soft spot in my heart for military families. I appreciate them so much for the sacrifices they make. Not only the soldier who leaves his family to fight for my freedom, but for the family he leaves behind to support and love him and wait for his return. I don't know how these military wives do it!

I was priveledged to be at the homecoming of Ben and his reunion with his cute wife Cassie just about a month ago, and it was amazing. I was excited when they called and asked me to do some family pictures for them too.

Their cute little boy cracked me up! He did NOT want to smile. I know he's a smiley kid: I've seen it! But this time, he just looked at me like I was crazy ;) Even with that serious face, he's still so darn cute. I just can't get over his eyes!

Now, when his daddy picked him up and started playing with him he started to show a few grins. But then it was right back to business.

Sarah and Nate {BRIDALS}

LOVE these two! They are so much fun, and such a great couple. We had an awesome time shooting their bridals/groomals. I can't wait to shoot their wedding in WASHINGTON D.C.

Melissa and Joel {MARRIED}

What a perfect day for a wedding. It was warm, sunny, and the skies were blue! It was a welcome change from some of the weather we had experienced just the few weeks before. I love watching for the newlyweds to come out of the temple. The joy on their faces as they come out to greet family and friends is just priceless. Melissa looked gorgeous, and her handsome groom looked so happy. There were lots of people who love them waiting outside for them.

The reception was held at the Alpine Art Center. It's a beautiful place to hold a reception. The line of people coming to congratulate the couple was long and steady all night long. And let me tell you, these families know how to throw a party. The dancing at the end was the BEST!

It took a little longer than normal to cut their cake. That knife just DID NOT want to go through that fondant. It was pretty funny. Luckily, they finally got a piece cut, and it looked yummy ;)

Congratulations Melissa and Joel! It was a beautiful day, and I'm so glad I could share it with you.
